Refractories & Steel
Materials in the refractory/steel sector are sold predominately for metallurgical applications to specialty refractory producers, foundries, and steel mills. End uses include monolithic vessel linings, special refractory shapes, tundish sprays, and ladle sands. These are high temperature applications where metal temperatures often exceed 3000 degrees Farenheit. Products include magnesia, olivine, chromite, zircon, and iron pyrites among others.
